The educational objective of the Department of Comprehensive Welfare is to develop professionals who are able to provide comprehensive support to those in need. The department grants a degree (in social welfare) to students who have acquired the ability to provide support in a variety of different ways. Additionally, the department has established a group of liberal arts subjects that are needed in fostering a deep sense of humanity and human understanding, a group of subjects that enhance general abilities such as linguistic expression and information processing, and a group of subjects that allow students to acquire knowledge and skills related to welfare and its associated fields.
The department accepts people who are interested in learning about welfare from a comprehensive standpoint and wish to contribute toward creating a welfare society where everyone is happy.
